welcome to the greatest scam in modern history—the American healthcare system. A system so corrupt, so deeply rigged, that it’s actively killing people while politicians and corporations laugh all the way to the bank. And if you’re sitting there thinking, “It can’t be that bad,” let me hit you with some facts that will make your blood boil.
A System Designed for Profits, Not People
Let’s start with the cold, hard truth. According to the American Journal of Public Health, 45,000 Americans die every year simply because they don’t have access to healthcare. That’s 125 people every single day whose lives are cut short because our system values profits over people. Meanwhile, the United States spends more on healthcare than any other country—over $4 trillion annually. But where does that money go? Not to saving lives, that’s for damn sure.
It goes to insurance companies posting record-breaking profits year after year. In 2022 alone, the five largest health insurers raked in over $50 billion in profits. Big Pharma isn’t far behind, with companies like Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson making tens of billions off overpriced medications. And let’s not forget the politicians who make this corruption possible, pocketing millions in campaign contributions from these very industries.
Both Parties Are Complicit—But Let’s Talk About the Democrats
Before you think this is just another rant about Republicans (and believe me, they’re a massive part of the problem), let’s focus on the so-called “progressive” party—the Democrats. In 2020, Democrats were handed a golden opportunity to enact real healthcare reform. The public was fed up, the momentum was there, and the cries for Medicare for All were deafening.
But what did they do? They caved. People like Senator Chuck Schumer and Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who claim to fight for the working class, shut down any real talk of Medicare for All. Why? Because they’re bought and paid for by the same corrupt industries they’re supposed to regulate. The pharmaceutical and insurance industries have poured millions into Democratic campaigns, ensuring that meaningful reform never sees the light of day.
Take Senator Joe Manchin, for example. This so-called “moderate Democrat” blocked a $3.5 trillion package that could have included significant healthcare reforms. Why? Maybe it’s because he’s taken over $500,000 from the fossil fuel industry—and yes, that’s connected, because corrupt money doesn’t discriminate. Then there’s Senator Kyrsten Sinema, who’s taken thousands from Big Pharma and health insurance companies while stalling progress on healthcare reform. These politicians aren’t fighting for you—they’re fighting for their donors.
The Real Cost of Complacency
If you’re not angry yet, let’s talk about what this corruption means for real people. Imagine being diagnosed with a treatable illness—diabetes, cancer, heart disease—but you can’t afford the medication or procedures you need to survive. Imagine watching your loved ones suffer or die because their insurance company denied their claim or their medication was priced at ten times what it costs in other countries.
Insulin, for example, costs Americans up to $600 a month. In Canada? $35. And don’t even start with the excuses about “research and development costs.” The truth is, Big Pharma is price-gouging you because they can. And why can they? Because politicians—Democrats and Republicans alike—let them.
The Lies We’ve Been Sold
And here’s the kicker – the people at the top of this scam have the audacity to tell you that you’re the problem. They say you’re not working hard enough, that you’re not pulling yourself up by the bootstraps, that you need to “make better choices.” These lies are repeated by millionaire podcasters, corporate media pundits, and even some of your elected officials. Meanwhile, they’re living lavishly off the very system that’s bankrupting and killing you.
Stop listening to these frauds. They’re not self-made success stories. They’re profiteers of a rigged system, using your struggle to line their own pockets while keeping you distracted and divided. They want you angry at your neighbor, at immigrants, at anyone but the real culprits – the CEOs, the corporations, and the politicians who’ve sold you out.
What Needs to Change—And Why It Starts With Us
So, what’s the solution? It’s simple: universal healthcare. A system that guarantees every American access to the care they need, without having to navigate endless red tape or sell their soul to pay for it. Medicare for All isn’t a radical idea; it’s common sense. It works in Canada. It works in the UK. It works in every other developed country. But it’ll never work here until we take on the corruption that’s poisoning our system.
Here’s the harsh truth: you can’t keep voting for the same Democrats who are complicit in this corruption. Until this party is cleaned up—until they stop taking money from Big Pharma and the insurance lobby—nothing will change. And if you’re still supporting them, you’re part of the problem. You’re complicit in a system that’s killing tens of thousands of Americans every year.
Enough Is Enough
We don’t have time for excuses. We don’t have time for “incremental change.” People are dying. Families are being destroyed. And the only way this changes is if we demand it. Stop being complacent. Stop letting politicians sell you out. And for the love of everything, stop believing the lies of millionaire pundits and podcasters who tell you to accept this system.
This has to end now. If you’re not angry, you’re not paying attention. And if you’re not ready to fight, then you’re part of the problem.
I have a really tragic story, but I don’t like to tell it because it makes me sad every time and that’s why I don’t have the same sympathy. I think that a lot of people have for the healthcare industry because they’ve taken advantage of hard-working people for far too long and I think hard-working people need to man better
I did not even know Canada actually had medication’s that were that cheap. It’s really enraging to find out that we actually pay that much for medication when Canada pays so little. Just gross.
I don’t think people really understand how expensive healthcare is it’s extremely expensive. I spent so much money every month and I really don’t even know what I get in return it’s actually pretty scary and I think that we need to have more conversations about this industry because I think it’s a scam
